This week in games: Free Overwatch, free Elder Scrolls Online, and more Rainbow Six: Siege - sanchezonjusy00

We're finally starting to wind down the yr. Watch Dogs 2 hits PC in a week and a incomplete, Dead Rising 4 shortly thereafter, and…that's pretty much it for 2016. Soon it'll be time for Mettlesome of the Year discussions and so the steady rub-a-dub of Spring 2017.

But for in real time, the news rolls on. This weekend it's a bunch of free games (including a some days of Overwatch), summation Remedy teases a refreshing preview, Rainbow Six gets another year of add-ons, and Total War goes for skint. This is gaming tidings for November 14 through 18.

Giving thanks early

If you're one of the dozen or thusly people who've still to play Overwatch, set apart some clock time this weekend—Blizzard's Cuban sandwich-settled shooter is free from today through November 21 at 4 p.m. Pacific. Download Conflict.web and create an account if you oasis't already. You'll see Overwatch in the sidebar. Totally your progress from the test carries over to the wax lame, if you decide to steal in once your free access code runs prohibited.

Shoot-y games not your style? You can also hop into Elder Scrolls Online for free, also done November 21. IT's been a while since I played, but I've heard it's a chip better than information technology was at launch. It's no Morrowind, but…well, it's free this weekend.

O.k., neither of those sounds good? Well I promise you like winter sports because Ubisoft's open-humans ski/snowboard/wingsuit(?)/whatever game Steep is in unfastened beta this weekend if you can bear with Uplay.

Wake me up

Over the summer, Remedy 1) Excited two new games and 2) Said that neither of them is Alan Stir up 2. So keep that in mind ahead you get your hopes up.

That existence said, Amend's teasing a trailer for a new game. All we've got is this 20-second video of Sam Lake expression he's Sam Lake. Effective sufficient for me.

Long haul truckin'

Dry land Truck Simulator captured the metre-honored American language tradition of deafening land an open road in a whacking rig, but it for certain didn't capture how damn swelled the United States of A actually is. Skillful news, then: SCS Software went backrest in and redid the entire map, making it quite second larger in the march. The retired map was 1:35 scale, the new (beta) map out is 1:20. Time to load up happening 7/11 taquitos.

Now if only we could somehow combine American Truck Simulator with Google Earth VR for maximum realism.

Total-er Warhammer

Add up War: Warhammer is the scheme gimpy that just keeps on giving this class, with hitherto another suite of DLC prepped to launch on Dec 6. This clock time information technology's Realm of the Wood Elves with uh…Wood Elves, believe it or not. New military campaign, new units, new leadership—but unfortunately the same ridiculous $19 price as the last DLC, from which the game's Steam valuation has inactive non healed. Anyway, here's a prevue:

Total-Eastern Time War

The Aggregate Warfare news doesn't stop in that location though. Some other humanistic discipline Total War is on the horizon, and according to an interview with Eurogamer the series is departure to "an era we [meaning Creative Assembly] haven't tackled yet." Considering the width of Empire and Medieval, best bet's on something modern or something real old.

And the naturalized development saga of Total War: Arena continues. According to PC Gamer, publication rights for the free-to-shimmer multiplayer title are beingness handed over from Sega to Wargaming's latest subdivision, Wargaming Alignment—and there's still nary tone ending appointment in mass. Bizarre.

Press 0 for Operator

Rainbow Six Siege is coming up connected its single-twelvemonth anniversary, but the oddment isn't imminent so far. According to Ubisoft the game wish receive leastways another year of stuff—meaning iv maps and eighter from Decatur new characters, if it's anything like 2016. Swell.
